Future Forum PAC Backs Young Democrats in Battleground Seats

Group Dedicated to Electing Young Democrats to Congress Plays in Two Battleground Districts Key to Determining Control of U.S. House

WASHINGTON – Future Forum PAC – the political arm of Future Forum, a caucus of House Democrats under age 50 focused on elevating the issues of young Americans – today announced its endorsement of two young Democratic challengers running in battleground districts across the country. This is the group’s first set of endorsements during the 2026 election cycle.

Future Forum PAC is endorsing challengers Rebecca Cooke (WI-03) and Joanna Mendoza (AZ-06), who are taking on Republican incumbents in battleground seats:

“Future Forum PAC is proud and excited to announce our endorsement of Rebecca Cooke in Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District and JoAnna Mendoza in Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District, whose focus on the needs of Young Americans, strong fundraising, and wide appeal will be critical to our success in retaking the House majority,” said the Future Forum PAC. “Together, they embody the ideas, energy and vision we need to push back on President Trump and drive our nation forward. These candidates know the stakes, are fighting to make a difference, and Future Forum PAC will have their backs through their primaries and into the General Election.”

Future Forum PAC works to elect young Americans to Congress, providing financial and strategic support to its endorsed candidates. With millennials and post-millennials now making up more than half of the U.S. population – and with millennials overtaking Baby Boomers as the largest generational voting demographic – Future Forum PAC’s role in elevating and empowering young Americans in the political process continues to grow in importance and power.

About the Future Forum PAC Endorsed Challengers:

Rebecca Cooke (WI-03)
vs. GOP Rep. Derrick Van Orden

Cook Rating: Tossup

Rebecca Cooke was born and raised in Eau Claire, where she learned the value of hard work and community from her family and neighbors. Rebecca went on to start her own business and has been a champion for expanding opportunity in the region. Specifically, through the founding of the Red Letter Grant, a nonprofit that supports and empowers female entrepreneurs by providing opportunities and assistance that helps to start a business.

Rebecca has dedicated her career to bringing people together and finding practical solutions to the challenges Wisconsin families face. She served on the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation board, where she worked with Democrats and Republicans to invest in small businesses, strengthen rural communities, and create good-paying jobs.

Rebecca has a proven record of fighting for western Wisconsin. She has always put people ahead of politics, and that’s exactly what she’ll do in Congress. Rebecca lives in Eau Claire, runs her own business, and continues to advocate for working families and rural communities across the district.

JoAnna Mendoza (AZ-06)
vs. GOP Rep. Juan Ciscomani
Cook Rating: Tossup

Born and raised in Pinal County, JoAnna Mendoza is the daughter of farmworkers who taught her the values of hard work, resilience, and community. At just 17, Jo enlisted in the U.S. Navy before joining the U.S. Marine Corps, where she served for two decades, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and trained the next generation of Marines as a Drill Instructor.

After retiring from the military, Jo returned home to raise her son, Aidan, and to continue her lifelong commitment to service. She earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University, became a nonprofit leader and veterans’ advocate, and worked as a congressional staffer and policy expert to deliver for Arizona families.

Jo has lived the struggles of rural poverty, military sacrifice, and single motherhood, and she has never stopped fighting for her community. In Congress, she will bring Arizona values of honesty and integrity to Washington, tackling the rising costs of food, housing, gas, and childcare while protecting Arizona’s water, expanding healthcare and education access, and defending democracy.

JoAnna Mendoza has always answered the call to serve; first for her country, and now for Southern Arizona.
